FELLOWSHIP
PROGRAM
The Fellowship program in Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology at Escola Paulista de Medicina started in 1997 and was the first in Latin America. In the more than 20 years of existence, he was responsible for the training of more than 40 subspecialists who today work in various institutions across the country.
During the program the fellow conducts his training and improvement in the approach of children with mouth breathing, allergy, obstructive sleep apnea, acute and chronic rhinosinusitis, hearing loss, otitis, tracheostomy, dysphagia, laryngotracheal stenosis, genetic syndromes, mucopolysaccharidosis, craniofacial malformations, laryngomalacia, respiratory papillomatosis, immunodeficiencies, neoplasms, among others. The course consists of outpatient activities, practice in the operating room, theoretical classes, hospital care, research development and weekly clinical and scientific meetings.
Outpatient and surgical center scale (elective):
There is also the urgency scale, in which the fellow is on call for emergency surgeries.
The Fellowship lasts for 1 (one) year, with the period from April to March of the following year.
